Tasks are the repetitive jobs to be performed around the yard — cleaning water troughs, cleaning tack, sweeping aisles, restocking hay etc. They are separate from the Lists module, which is horse-oriented (who rides which horse today). Tasks are yard-oriented and typically recurring.

Each task can be:

  • scheduled on specific days of the week (e.g. "every Monday and Thursday"),
  • scheduled on specific months of the year (e.g. "spring only"),
  • scheduled for a specific one-off date, or
  • a combination of the above (e.g. "the third Sunday of each month").

Tasks can be assigned to a particular person, and marked complete once done. A warning period tells you when a task is coming up soon.

The list of tasks is per-stable — each stable defines its own set. If several tasks look similar, that's fine; make them as specific as suits your yard's routine.

Not sure if you want a task or a list entry? If it involves a specific horse (ride, lunge, walk), it belongs on a List. If it's a yard job that could be done by anyone at the stable (clean troughs, sweep, restock feed room), it's a Task.
